Summary
Role Key reads public blockchain data and the Discord information you allow. We never collect private keys, seed phrases or signatures, and we never ask you to connect a wallet.
What we collect
When you use Role Key we process:
aDiscord account data from OAuth (scopesidentifyandguilds): your Discord user ID, username, avatar and the list of servers you’re in.bLinked wallet addresses: the public addresses you verify.cPublic on-chain data: token balances and transfers for linked wallets on supported chains.dVerification records: the request, method and result, such as the exact self-send amount or profile code.eServer configuration: rules and roles set by admins.
What we don’t collect
We do not collect or ask for private keys, seed phrases, wallet connections, message signatures or token approvals. We don’t read your Discord messages.
Public on-chain activity
The self-send transaction you make to verify is a normal blockchain transaction. It is public and permanent on that chain, and anyone can see it. A profile code you place on a public profile is visible to anyone while it’s there.
How we use it
We use this data to link wallets, check holdings, assign and remove roles, show your servers in the dashboard, prevent abuse and keep the service running. Once a wallet is linked, it counts in every server that uses Role Key; each server only sees the roles its own rules produce.
Third parties
We share data only as needed to run the service:
aDiscord: to authenticate you and manage roles.bRPC and blockchain data providers: to read public chain data for linked addresses.cHosting and infrastructure: [hosting providers].
We don’t sell your personal data.
Cookies and sessions
The dashboard uses a minimal session cookie to keep you signed in after connecting Discord. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Retention
We keep account and wallet links while you use Role Key. Verification records are kept for [retention period]. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from active systems within [deletion timeframe]. Public blockchain data can’t be deleted by anyone.
Deletion and your rights
You can unlink wallets and ask us to delete your data by contacting [contact email] or using the contact page. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct or object to processing.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and give notice where reasonable.
